HOW DO I BOOK A COURSE? 
Select a course from the course timetable and select book a course - see timetable page of this site. 

DO I NEED TO BE 18? 
No you don’t. You can do the courses before you turn 18, however,  we require you to be over 16. You must tell us you are under 18 as the training is conducted on licenced premises and you will have to be under the direct supervision of the trainer. 

WHAT DO I BRING WITH ME?
 All you need is cash for your final course payment, some form of photo ID to prove who you are, your USI number and a pen. Also the right attitude to want to learn. 

 

HOW MUCH DOES THE COURSE COST? 

The RSA single course cost is $140. The RCG single course cost is $110.

If you book both course at the same time the discounted price is $235 a saving of $15.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO THE COURSE? 
Casual clothing but make sure if you are attending a club that you don’t wear thongs, singlets or ripped jeans. 

HOW LONG ARE THE COURSES? 
Both the RSA and RCG are 6 ½ hours in duration and done in one session each course.

 
DO I NEED TO SIT A TEST? 
YES - an open book assessment is required at the end of the course. You will be required to obtain 100% to be deemed Competent. If you are deemed Not Yet Competent you will need to contact our office to rebook a new course. When you attend that course you will be issued with a new assessment. If you pass this assessment you will be deemed Competent. If you fail this assessment you will have to stay and complete the full course. If you do not stay and complete the second course you will lose your $50 deposit. 


DO I GET MY CERTIFICATE ON THE DAY? 
Unfortunately NO,
 All your course information will be entered into the Government Licencing System. Once we have done this we will email your interim certificate to you. You will receive the email interim statement the day after you complete the course. If you complete a course on a Friday you will receive the interim statement ob the following Monday. Once you receive the interim certificate you can start work.


DO I HAVE TO GET A PLASTIC RSA/RCG COMPETENCY CARD 
YES
Once you have completed your training and you receive your interim certificate you can start work immediately, however you can work using the interim certificate for 90 days only. During the 90 days you have to attend a Services NSW Centre  to have your ID checked and photograph taken. All the information on applying for the plastic card is on the second page of your interim statement.


DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE PLASTIC COMPETENCY CARD? 
NO,
Once you pay the course fees it covers the cost of the whole plastic card issue process.

 

 

 I ALREADY HAVE A RSA COMPETENCY CARD AND HAVE NOW COMPLETED MY RCG COURSE - HOW DO I GET A NEW CARD

 

You do not need to go to Services NSW to get a new card. NSW Liquor and Gaming have you in their system and will automatically send you a new card with both RSA & RCG on it. Further information can be seen here "Getting Your Card" .

 

 I ALREADY HAVE A RSA OR RCG COMPETENCY CARD AND IT'S ABOUT TO EXPIRE

BE AWARE THAT IF YOU HAVE A CURRENT  RSA/RCG COMPETENCY CARD INCLUDING 28 DAYS AFTER THE EXPIRY DATE ON THE CARD YOU MUST RENEW YOUR COMPETENCY THROUGH NSW LIQUOR & GAMING.

 

I HAVE COMPLETED MY RSA OR RCG BUT HAVE NOT APPLIED FOR MY COMPETENCY CARD AND I HAVE HAVE GONE PAST THE EXPIRY DATE ON THE INTERIM CERTIFICATE - DO I NEED TO RESIT ANOTHER COURSE

 

No you don't - even though you have gone past the expiry date you do not need to resit another course. Apply for your card at Service NSW. It just means you will not be able to work until you receive the card

 

CAN AN EMPLOYMENT AGENCY PAY FOR MY COURSE? 
Yes, but you need to have approval sent from your agency to our office prior to attending.Approach you agency and get them to give us a call. They should go to the employment agency section of this site to find out how to book you in. 

IS THERE A CANCELLATION FEE IF I DON’T ATTEND? 

 

YES and NO – Once you pay the $50 deposit you will lose it unless you email our office a minimum of 48 hours prior to the class commencement. If you do give our company 48 hours notice we will transfer the $50 fee to the next course you book. If you fail to attend the second booking you will lose your deposit.

REFUNDS

 

Once you pay the $50 booking confirmation fee the following rules apply-

 

No refund will be available

  

If Hospitality Courses receive via email (training@froggy.com.au) more than 48hr from course commencement that you cannot attend your course booking the $50 booking fee will be transferred to your next course booking. Should you not be able to attend a course within 30 days of your initial course booking a credit is not available. If we do rebook you into a course and you fail to attend the second booking we will not accept a rebooking and you will lose your deposit.

 

This refund policy does not apply to Employment Agency bookings. See Employment Agency Terms and Conditions on this site.

HOW TO ENROL 
 You can make a booking on line to reserve your place in the course.


COURSE CONFIRMATION
  We will confirm your enrolment immediately when you book online. We will contact you if there is a change or cancellation.   

HOW TO PAY
   You need to pay a $50 no refundable deposit when you book.

   You pay the remaining course fees at the end of

your training session. If you fail to pay the course fees at the end of the training you will be deemed not competent and will have to resit the training.

   IF you are booking both RSA & RCG and want to receive the discounted price you have to pay for both courses on the first day of attendance
    Only Cash or Money Order will be accepted on the day.
    Cheques will not be accepted unless prior approval has been given by our office.

    Employment agencies may book clients on invoice. 
   Venues may book clients on invoice. Invoice terms are Net 14 days. Book online here.  Payment of fees does not mean a participant is guaranteed successful completion of a course.

 

If you complete a course with our company and you did not need to do the course NO refunds will be available. It is the students responsibility to be aware of what accreditation they require.

COURSE LOCATIONS 
  See the list of locations on this website. 
   The facilities are inspected in advance and checked for safety. Any OH&S issues are reported to the  venue for your welfare. 

   Course participants are responsible for their personal
    belongings. We will not accept any  responsibility for 
    stolen or damaged personal property.


COURSE CHANGES AND CANCELLATION 
   We have every intention to run the courses as advertised. But Hospitality Courses reserves the right to alter the published arrangements, either before or during the arranged course, change course content or engage a substitute trainer.
   If we have to cancel a course due to circumstances beyond our control, an alternative course date/s will be offered.


PROOF OF ID & PROOF OF AGE  
    Participants must be 16 years or above to do RSA & RCG.
    Please advise at time of booking if you’re not 18 years.
   You must provide adequate identification i.e. Drivers 
     Lic, photo card, Proof of age card (not NSW),  passport,

Keypass Card etc. Show this ID on the day of the course. 

RULES OF THE COURSE AND VENUE 

 

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND ENGLISH


   We run courses in clubs/hotels. You must abide by all venue requirements i.e. dress and behaviour standards. You must attend the class in full. Records are kept for every course and signed off by the trainer. We retain these records for inspection by authorities. 
  The trainer has the right to ask you to leave the course 
    should you not co-operate and comply with the terms  and conditions, not meet the requirements of the course, or you are disruptive to other participants.
    We provide a workbook at the start of the course. 

You must bring a pen with you.
   You must turn off your mobile phone during the course. If you are late to the course or back from breaks late or use you mobile phone during the course you will be asked to leave and you will not receive a refund nor does the resit policy apply.

LEARNER SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE
 

 We want you to succeed. If you are having difficulties 
 our trainers and assessors can provide the following 
 types of support.

 Explanations of the parts of the course that you have 
 not understood. 
 Extra time on practicals and  test questions as appropriate. 

We will make reasonable adjustments in order to cater for the needs of clients and participants who have a disability. 
 Training venues where possible will be accessible. 
 Support persons can attend class with you at no charge.


Language and literacy adjustments 


 We will make sure the  training is delivered at a reasonable pace for the various types of learners in each class.
 We will use Plain English and explain terminology with practical examples.
 Assessment will be both written and practical.

 

WE OFFER A RE–SIT OPTION AT NO CHARGE

 Should you attend our training and are unable to complete the course you can re-sit the course one more time without charge.
 Should you be deemed not yet competent in the course you have attended we will allow you to re-sit the course one more time and we will transfer your
 $40 deposit to the next training session.
 If you are dissatisfied with the assessment result,  you should talk to the trainer. If you do not want to take advantage of the resit offer and wish to complain, you should talk to our office. Our policy on complaints is below.

 

COMPLAINTS 
 We are customer focused and want to use complaints
 as an opportunity to improve our services. In the first instance, the complaint should be  discussed with the relevant member of staff or the trainer. 
 If not satisfied, CLICK HERE and complete our Complaints Form to have your complaint looked at by our Director.
 We will record your complaint and any meetings or 
 discussion will be noted and the complainant informed.
 If agreement cannot be reached, and the complainant wishes to pursue the matter it can be taken to the 
 Department of Fair Trading or the Training Complaints

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY
    Hospitality Courses staff and trainers are aware of the OHS legislation and we are trained in our responsibilities for safety in educational environments.

                                                                    EVACUATION                
     In the case of an emergency requiring evacuation of the building during one of our courses the trainer will notify his/her class that they will be evacuating the building and follow designated procedures. We use a number of premises and follow the procedures at each venue. 

PRIVACY STATEMENT
   The information you provide remains confidential and 
    is used for administration and course reporting. No personal information will be disclosed outside of the company without your permission, except where required by law. We are required to report course statistics to commonwealth and state agencies.
