RSA

In N.S.W any person that is employed on licensed premises needs to have Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation that is VETAB & Liquor Administration Board (LAB) approved. This also includes security personnel. * see below

Venues requesting this accreditation include all Pubs / Hotels, Clubs, Nightclubs, Function Centres, Bottleshops, licensed restaurants etc.

Responsible Service of Alcohol training is a classroom-based course. It is 6 1/2 hours long. Motivated trainers use the latest in presentation equipment to enhance the training.

Course content includes:
  • the impacts and effects of alcohol
  • the NSW Harm Minimisation requirements
  • what is intoxication and how to prevent it
  • minors and proof of age
  • impacts of alcohol
  • the benefits of implementing RSA strategies

At the end of the training session you will be required to complete a small assessment. On successful completion of the course you will be issued with the official Liquor Administration Board certificate. This accreditation is a module of the Certificate III in Hospitality (Operations).

* THE LAW READS IN RELATION TO PEOPLE REQUIRING THIS RSA ACCREDITATION "requiring licensees, managers and other persons engaged in the sale, supply, service of liquor along with Security Guards on licensed premises in NSW must hold a recognized RSA certificate”.

The NSW legislation requires all persons working in and around Gaming Machines of hotels and clubs in NSW to have this accreditation.

The Specialised Solutions Australia Responsible Conduct of Gambling course is fully accredited by the Liquor Admistration Board and VETAB. The course is conducted over 6 1/2 hours. It is a classroom-based course that is delivered by qualified and motivated trainers using up to date training aids.

The course aim is to encourage a responsible, caring and professional approach to the responsible conduct of gambling.

Components of the course include
  • the context of gambling in NSW
  • indicators and impacts of problem gambling
  • legislative framework for the responsible conduct of gambling
  • strategies to ensure gaming activities are responsible
  • benefits of the program

At the end of the training session you will be required to complete an assessment. Upon successful completion you will be awarded a certificate, which is a module of the Certificate III in Hospitality (Operations).
